I Know It’s You. You’re Not Awake.

A pet alarm that only recognises your voice and gets scared when hears someone else.

I Know It’s You. You’re Not Awake.

What I built is a pet robot alarm that listens for the owner’s voice and gives a visual challenge before allowing the alarm to stop. It uses an ESP32, OLED screen, buttons, and buzzer to create the interaction.

It decides based on two things: whether the voice matches the enrolled owner’s voice, and whether the visual challenge is answered correctly. If the voice is unfamiliar, the robot becomes scared and refuses to interact. If the owner answers incorrectly, it keeps the alarm on and asks again. If the owner answers correctly, it stops the alarm.

It does not know whether the person is actually awake, who the person is with certainty, or whether the person is trustworthy. It only knows whether the voice matches and whether the challenge was completed correctly.
